it'd been a few weeks since the tour ended and she was just now leaving to new york to live with what could quite possibly be the one and only love of her life. that also meant that it had been a few weeks since she had seen said love. sure, she'd talked to him on the phone a few times, but it just wasn't the same as spending the day with him or sleeping in his arms. she missed it, and she was glad that his mother had opened the doors for her to come in and live with them, because she really didn't want to have a long distance relationship, not that she didn't think that they could do it, there was no doubt in her mind. but they would be, basically, on two separate sides of the country, and that was a long way. she didn't like being that far away from someone she truly loved. she could barely manage for a few weeks, let alone until the next tour. it just didn't seem desirable to her. she didn't mind leaving her family as much, because she knew that they would always love her, but if you're separated long enough, she knew that it was more than possible to fall out of love, and that was something she really didn't want to happen. jasey could honestly see herself being happy with lucas for the rest of her life. he was everything she truly wanted, and most times, so much more.
she felt anxious and jumpy to be able to see lucas once more, even though she had to meet up with her brother first. jasey didn't really mind, considering her brother was going to help her get her things and was eager to meet lucas, the only thing was that she really hoped he didn't try to put on his mean older brother face to him, because she was sure it would scare the heck out of lucas, and she really didn't want that to happen. besides, she was sure that her brother would love her boyfriend, considering she and lucas were rather similar personality wise. they were both fairly shy and quiet. in fact, when they first met they had gotten to know each other over the internet rather than face to face because things had gotten really awkward, really fast. in a way, she had to thank duncan for kissing lucas, because whether he knew it or not, that was basically the big ice breaker for them. it was the day they became 'boyfriend and girlfriend'. so, she honestly disliked duncan, but she couldn't help but feel grateful that he had done something so horrible... not because it was horrible but because it had pushed her and lucas together, and now they were both extremely happy. despite the problems they had early on, they had managed to stay together longer than a majority of the other couples on tour, she knew that much.
jasey met her brother at baggage claim, jeremy was a good foot and a half taller than her. he was big, and she was little, he was almost thirty and she was almost twenty. it was a pretty big age gap, but for the children that had been born between them, it really wasn't. as the taller male approached her, she wrapped her short arms around his waist, her head nuzzling his chest. "hey j-jeremy. i missed y-you. it feels l-like it's been forever." her voice was gentle. "i missed you too, jay. now, let's grab your stuff and get over to your boyfriends house.." he sounded.. excited, which was new to jasey, considering every time she had mentioned lucas to him, he seemed upset or something. maybe that was just how it sounded over the phone. her brother quietly grabbed both of her suitcases as she let her carry on hang from her shoulders. soon, they were in the car on the way to lucas' house. there wasn't much conversation in the car considering the two had already caught up on the phone and over the internet and such, so the ride home seemed longer than it was. we're almost there. my brothers really excited to meet you. jasey typed quickly into her phone, sending it to lucas. she was excited to see him again, and was going to give him the biggest hug she ever had. she closed her thoughts as they pulled up into the drive way of lucas' home. her heart was racing with excitement.

The Zombie tour had ended weeks ago, the day the buses went their separate ways is a day that replayed in his mind over and over again. It was the last day he got to hold his girlfriend and see her flawless face in person, he actually cried the day the two parted ways, but he was a sensitive kid. It was his first love and he had to say goodbye to her, she lived on the opposite side of the country, but he had already been buttering his mom up, trying to get her to allow Jasey to stay with them. As the weeks that followed went by, his mother had agreed to it, knowing her son wouldn’t do anything irresponsible with the girl, plus, his mom seemed to see how sweet Jasey was. If a girl could make her son fall this much in love and bring a goofy dreamy smile to his face at just the mere mention of her, then she had to be something special. He had spoken to Jasey several times on the phone and they texted pretty much every minute of every single day, the two could probably never get bored with each other, even if they were just sitting there quietly. Memories of being on tour with her always floated through his mind, sure, there were bad moments, but the better moments definitely over powered them. The two had been through quite a lot with one each another, their relationship being a sort of roller coaster due to outside inferences, but they got through it and became even closer.
He had been counting down the days till when she was to move in, he had cleaned up every room of the house voluntarily, just so it would be nice and homey for her. His mom definitely enjoyed that part of the deal, she continuously chuckled at his anxiety and excitement, it was indeed quite adorable. She knew it’d be a lot to get used to, having another person in the house, but she was excited as well, for him and herself. Unfortunately, his mother wouldn’t be present at Jasey’s arrival; the woman had to work at the diner all day, so she’d be home in a few hours. But Lucas was completely fine with being here alone when Jay came, he actually preferred it, he wanted to just hug his girlfriend for a whole few weeks worth. He had missed her terribly and he was indeed going to show her that, even though he told her that almost every day. He couldn’t even sleep at all the previous night because he was so damn excited. He was nervous at the fact that her older brother was bringing her, but he knew he’d have to suck it up if he wanted to be reunited with her again.
He remembered how scared and sad he was when he realized that the two would have to part when the tour came to an end, but this new arrangement definitely made it all the better. Here he was, pretty much bouncing on the couch. The television was on, but he wasn’t paying too much attention to it, he was waiting for that text from Jasey letting him know she was on her way. She had texted him about her brother being really excited to meet him, which only made him feel a bit more nervous. He was afraid that her brother would assume that he wasn’t man enough for his little sister, which Lucas probably wasn’t. But Lucas knew he was perfect for her, just like she was perfect for him, he could only hope that her brother would see that. Lucas was also scared that her brother might be big and scary, reluctant to hear the big scary brother speech, but he would sit through it for her. He’d do pretty much anything for this girl. He walked outside, growing impatient inside, and sat on his front steps cradling his cell phone. As the car pulled up to his driveway, he nearly exploded with excitement; his girlfriend was only a few feet away now. He hopped up almost instantly and pretty much ran towards the car as he saw her familiar face through the windshield.

jasey was so extremely excited, that her seat belt had been off for a good block. she was prepared to open the door as soon as the car had come to a full stop, her fingers curled gently around the handle. she missed lucas, and there was no hope of ever denying that. he was her first and only love, and she was positive he would stay that way for as long as he would allow himself to be. as soon as she saw lucas' face and her felt her brother put the car in park, the door was open and she was out of the car. she was practically running to him, even though he was only some five feet away from her. she was excited, that much was obvious, and she liked being excited. her arms wrapped around his waist tight, pressing her face against his chest. she hadn't realized how much she had truly missed the smell of his clothes or the feel of his hugs. sure, she had missed him to the point where she couldn't stand it any longer, but she hadn't expected this. she didn't want their embrace to end, she just wanted to stay in his arms forever. if this was true love, she wanted to press pause and just stay in this moment for the rest of eternity. she wanted the time to freeze around them so she could be this happy for the rest of her entire life. her heart was going nuts in her chest from happiness, and from the utmost love she felt in her heart for one person. she hadn't thought it was possible.
after a few moments, jasey loosened her grip, smiling up at him brightly. "i missed y-you." her voice was quiet as her lips stumbled over a small word. it was a condition she'd had for a long time, though. she stuttered a little bit in every sentence, not that many people cared once they found out the reason behind it. the only thing was, she found herself stuttering less and less when she was around lucas.. in fact, the only time she found herself stuttering even half as much as she used to was when she was surrounded by strangers, or when she was in a stressful environment. these things were rather rare, so there was no big deal. she had never been an outgoing person, so it was no big surprise to anybody that knew her. "it feels l-like i haven't seen you in a-a million years." she said softly, giving a content sigh. jasey had cried on numerous occasions while she had been away from lucas. it became clear to her there that sleeping in the same bed as him was something that truly helped her sleep, and she was glad that they could do that once again.. if his mom let them. she sure hoped so, because she didn't want to be away from him. she didn't want to even be in a different room from him. the only exception was when he or she was using the bathroom. after a few moments, she remembered her brother, letting go of lucas completely.
a taller man had stepped out of the car during their embrace. jeremy watched as the small brunette took her boyfriends hand in her own, lacing their fingers together. it was only obvious how excited she was to be there, and he looked pretty excited too. jasey watched as jeremy pulled her bags out of the backseat. in them was clothes, purfume, cameras, the works. it was what she needed to succeed, and jeremy knew that. jeremy could tell his little sister was excited for her boyfriend, this lucas, to meet him. "lucas, this is m-my big brother, jeremy!" she said excitedly. he hadn't seen her like this since she and journey were leaving for the tour where she had met lucas. "jeremy, this i-is my boyfriend, lucas." the smile lit up her face like a christmas tree. the middle aged man was glad that this boy at least made his sister happy. he had heard stories about other boys on tour that had either made fun of her, or practically harassed her. apparently, they had also done the same thing to lucas. leaving jay's things in the middle of the driveway, in front of the car, he approached lucas sternly. there was no doubt in his mind that he looked beyond scary right now, and he felt rather terrifying right now. he stuck his hand out for lucas to shake. "hello, lucas." his words were simple and his voice was cold as marble for right now.
he wasn't being like this because he didn't like lucas. lucas seemed like an adorable kid, but he didn't want lucas to think he was too nice.. then he might start pushing his boundaries, and jeremy knew he wasn't quite ready for anything like that, not yet.

Lucas didn’t even make it to the vehicle yet when Jasey had hopped on out herself, pretty much meeting him a few feet away from the car. The two had missed each other a lot, they had mentioned it pretty much all the time. It was rare to find someone that felt the same way about you that you did them, but these two? They were crazy for each other. Outsiders would probably look at the happy couple and expect they’d been together for over a year or something, but no, just about three months. Three amazing months, that is. To Lucas, it was like he had known this girl his entire life. Though most of their conversations in the beginning were on the internet, it was just how the two rolled, as one would say. Both being shy and quiet, needed to get comfortable first, and tended to avoid social interaction at times. The two were pretty much attached at the hip by the end of tour though, which only made it harder having to part ways at such an amazing point in their relationship. He had to admit, it was pretty weird and uncomfortable not having her sleeping with him, just cuddling in his arms at night. He was so used to her being beside him as he slept, he felt safe and he knew she did too. It was difficult getting used to sleeping in his own bed alone… with his stuffed panda and stuffed buzz light year. His stuffed Panda that pretty much reminded him of Jasey, she had given it to him as a gift for his birthday. Yes, he remembered the day clearly, it had started out bad, due to interactions with Duncan, but had ended with him obtaining his first girlfriend.
Lucas’ arms wrapped around her shoulders, squeezing tightly, but not to the point where it would hurt her. He just missed her so much; he didn’t want to let her go ever again. It seemed like forever since he last got to touch her, smell her, look at her, etc. After about a few seconds, he kissed the top of her head. Was this real? Was she finally in his arms once again? He didn’t want this moment to end, it was what he had been anticipating all week, and it was just as imagined. Hell, it was way more. He had missed her so much, he couldn’t wait to be able to see her everyday again, and this time in his house with his mom. Oh boy, he couldn’t wait for her to officially meet his mom, he knew she’d love Jasey and vice versa. He loosened his hold on her as well, but kept her close, just in case she was some sort of mirage, he had to keep this moment from vanishing. He looked down at her as she spoke the first words, ”I missed you too”
, he said softly looking back into her eyes. It was exhilarating seeing her face so up close again; he placed a hand on her cheek, lightly planting a kiss on her nose. He had missed her cute little stutter and the cute expression that always followed when she spoke, he didn’t know what to do with himself he was exploding with happiness. He chuckled at her next words, ”more like… a billion years.”, he said still in disbelief that she was standing right before him. Lucas’ stutter was pretty much non-existent now, he only had it when he was scared and meeting new people. Around Jasey he was completely comfortable, there was still slight insecurities and uncomfortability, but those would soon fade away. She was here and he’d do anything for her, just as long as she’d remain in his life. Lucas had honestly forgotten about her brother being present, in fact, he forgot where they were in general. All that was in his mind was Jasey and him, standing in each other’s arms in the middle of the sidewalk. But that’s how most of his time with her was; he tended to forget about their surroundings being so focused on her and her safety and well being. Jasey had pulled away before Lucas could properly kiss her, he was slightly confused but that’s when she took his hand and Lucas noticed the older male exiting the automobile. He laced his fingers with Jasey’s naturally, a little afraid that her brother might not like that exactly. He watched him take her bags out of the back seat and debated whether or not he should start helping, it would make a good impression and it would make him rather helpful. But his feet were stuck in place, he was so nervous, her brother could easily say no and make her move in with him instead. He gave a small half smile when she introduced the two, he had to do his best, plus it totally made him blush when she called him her boyfriend. He knew it was old news really, but every time she called him that, the butterflies in his stomach couldn’t help but flutter around. As her brother began to step closer, his frame seemed to increase in size, and the look on his face and posture definitely frightened Lucas. He quickly let go of Jasey’s hand, feeling almost as if he was in trouble now, he had to stop himself from automatically apologizing. ”H-h-hi… “, he gulped as he looked down, his stutter had returned and it was only because he was incredibly frightened. He bit his lip and slowly looked up, ”nice to f-finally m-meet you”, he said calmly, a slight crack in his voice. jasey watched her brother approach them, giving him a bright smile which was basically telling him to go easy on him, especially since his hand practically rocketed out of her own. jeremy was going to have his head bitten off, and she was sure he knew that. sure, jasey knew that jeremy was just worried about her and all that kind of stuff, like most big brothers were, but she wasn't about to let him be a big jerk to her boyfriend. lucas had been pushed around enough, and quite frankly, she knew that jeremy, like david and duncan, was just trying to scare him. she knew that lucas wasn't about to make her do anything she didn't want to do. he was already terrified of her brothers, and jeremy knew that... she had told him, so why in the world was he trying to act all macho and tough? it was sort of bothering her, she would have to apologize to lucas about it later. she didn't want him to think that her brother was going to kill him or something if she got hurt. she listened to the exchange of words, biting her lip gently. he was going to give lucas the older brother talk, she could already tell. she was realizing right now how nice it was being on tour with lucas and not having to deal with her brothers, though thankfully, jeremy was the only one that would try to scare lucas into being kind to her. not that he wasn't already, but jeremy had his doubts about that kind of thing and he just wanted to ensure that even though she hadn't been hurt yet, she wouldn't be hurt in the future, either.
lucas was only a few inches taller than jasey, which, to jeremy was pretty adorable. they were both fairly small, but that only made his job a little easier... or maybe a lot, lucas was stuttering, he sounded some what like his sister when she was nervous or around new people.. for lucas, it was probably both. at least the new person part. all he had to do was let lucas know that he wasn't about ready to let his baby sister get hurt. he gave the boy a gentle smile as he said hello and that he was glad to meet him, all the things he was sure most boys would've said. he didn't really know, jasey had never really brought any boys home to say hello and what not. this was the first boy that had ever been serious about her, and most of jeremy hoped it stayed that way for jasey's sake. she was truly in love. jeremy, as her old brother, could tell these things. he understood that she would be happy in his arms for the rest of her life. she had told him that lucas understood things that most people wouldn't. he liked her faults and didn't mind her stutter, which was nice. they just seemed so perfect for each other, he really hoped that lucas wasn't just playing some kind of cruel joke on his little sister, or he would have to kill the kid. he was sure that wouldn't be pleasant for lucas. "hey, lucas.. could i talk to you for a second?"
he didn't let lucas answer before leading him away from jasey, his arm around his shoulder trying to maybe keep him calm. he didn't want the boy to think he was going to hurt him.. after they were surely out of range of jasey's ears, he stopped, standing so that he and lucas were face to face. lucas, he had to admit, seemed to be just about perfect for jasey. sure, there were guys out there that were stronger or more outgoing than lucas, but it seemed to him like jay needed someone more like herself than other people did. maybe it was because they could read one another better, or maybe it was simply because knowing someone that seemed to know how you felt made you feel more comfortable. he wasn't sure, but lucas was getting the same talk as any other person would've gotten. "now, first things first.. i can tell as well as you can, that jasey really likes you. you're all she talks about." he said softly, just to break the ice on a good note. it seemed like jasey was a pretty good ground if he wanted to cover something that wouldn't upset him. "the thing is, i can only partially see how much you really like her. i mean, it seems like you do, but i don't really know you.. so.." his voice trailed off. he was being honest, at least. "and you know, she's my baby sister. not only is she the youngest, but she's the only girl. i don't need her getting hurt, and i'm sure you don't want to get hurt yourself."
he looked down at the smaller male, biting his lip. "so we have to ensure that miss jasey here, isn't going to get hurt while in your care. you understand that you have to make sure she doesn't get hurt, right? that means you can't hurt her, either." he paused for a second, before patting lucas on the back. "not that you ever have, but you know, just warning you, and reminding you she has seven brothers other than me. don't forget that." jeremy had practically raised jasey. he was the 'man' of the house most of the time. their father hadn't been home a lot, not that it mattered much. "be good to her, or some shit's gonna go down, kay? don't do anything you might regret." he didn't let lucas respond once again before patting his back again and walking back over to his sister. he kissed her forehead before hugging her. "be careful, kay? and don't do anything stupid. your bags are right there, and you know my number if you ever need help." his words were softer when he spoke to jasey, she was just nodding. "i know, j-jeremy. i know. i'll call you e-every night, okay?" she said with a smile as her brother walked over to his car and backed out of the drive way. jay's eyes turned back to lucas, her attention could finally be on him now with no worries about her brother freaking out.

Lucas knew what was coming, he’d seen it in the movies, it was ‘the talk’. This was the only thing that Lucas wasn’t looking forward to, it was usually used to make sure the boyfriend didn’t hurt the girlfriend, or else there’d be some kind of physical damage done to him. Lucas wasn’t prepared for it, in fact, he was actually even more afraid right now, because it seemed to be happening so quickly. He didn’t know what was going to be said and done, Jeremy’s persona did not lighten his worry either, in fact it increased it. Jeremy was a lot bigger than Lucas guessed, he was so nervous right now, he really wanted to grab jasey’s hand again, but didn’t want to do it in front of her brother. This was his moment to show her brother that she’d be safe, this was a big thing, his little and only sister moving in with her boyfriend, a billion miles from her real home, so Lucas definitely understood the concern. But it was just Lucas, he was probably the most harmful guy in the world and he would never even dream of hurting Jasey.
hey, lucas… could I talk to you for a second?, at the words Lucas gulped and froze a bit, he was a little tongue tied, especially when Jeremy led him to the side. He was really hoping that Jasey could be there with him, just so he had someone he could hide behind or something, Lucas wasn’t ready for a one on one with Jeremy. His heart was pounding as the two walked further and further away from Jasey, with each step Lucas only became more panicky. The arm around his shoulder didn’t calm him enough, it actually made Lucas realize how easily Jeremy could probably crush him. Lucas was definitely paranoid right now, but could blame him? Finally, the two stopped and Jeremy was no standing in front of him, Lucas wanted to look in Jasey’s direction, her face usually calmed him, but he couldn’t, he was too focused on what Jeremy was going to say, let alone do. He wouldn’t hurt him, right? Jasey was only a few feet away and she wouldn’t let her brother hurt Lucas, at least that’s what lucas believed, so this made him feel slightly safer. Lucas took a few breaths as Jeremy began ‘the talk’, he had to get through this, Lucas was over-reacting, but he couldn’t help it. He just hoped he wouldn’t have one of his anxiety attacks right now, that’d be extremely embarrassing.
Lucas smiled at his first words, he really liked hearing that Jasey really liked him and that she talked about him a lot. Her brothers soft tone of voice definitely made Lucas feel a bit better, but he knew there was more. With the words that followed shortly after, Lucas almost felt a bit hurt and scared again, he wished he could show or tell Jeremy how much he truly did like Jasey, but his feelings for her were indescribable. The feelings he got whenever he saw her or even thought about her were too wonderful to put into words. be good to her, or some shit’s gonna go down, kay? Don’t do anything you might regret, with each pat on the back Lucas slightly flinched. Lucas gulped a little; he knew he’d get hurt if he hurt Jasey, if not by all of her brothers, then at least by one. But he knew he would never hurt Jasey, he was planning on being in her life for as long as she’d let him.
Lucas didn’t say anything during the entire conversation, he was too scared to, even if he tried talking; who knew if anything would exactly come out? He nodded slightly as the two made their way back to Jasey, he stayed a few steps away so that the two siblings could exchange farewells. He used to this short period to calm himself down, Jeremy didn’t hurt him or take Jasey back, which is exactly what Lucas kept telling himself internally. He looked up as Jeremy got in his vehicle and drove off, still stuck in place for a second or two, he took another breath and looked back over at Jasey. The two were finally alone and reunited, seeing her standing there looking back at him made him feel a million times better. He moved some hair out of his face before walking towards her. He had to give her one longer embrace before helping her inside, he really hoped that she’d like it here. He wrapped his arms around her again and squeezed her gently, he was never happier than he was right now. ”Let’s get you inside”
, he said quietly and let her go, walking towards her luggage. Luckily, she only had two medium sized bags, which Lucas was pretty grateful for. It would have been pretty embarrassing if he couldn’t carry his own girlfriend’s luggage, and Lucas did not need to feel less of a man right now. He picked them up, the two weren’t as heavy as he thought they were going to be, but he was thankful. He struggled a bit, him being a pretty weak kid, but he managed. The door was already unlocked, ”Be careful when you open the door, we don’t wanna let Rex out”, he said as the two finally got to the door. As expected, Rex’s tiny little self was practically jumping at the new person that had entered. Lucas had told Jasey all about Rex, who was pretty much his baby; he knew Jasey would like him though. Lucas’ home was like any other middle-class family living in Long Island, it was nice and homey, the living room was right there when you walked in. A big auburn comfy couch across from the television, whose space in between was taken by a wooden coffee table. He walked her luggage to the hallway, taking a slight break, ”Rex likes you”, he smiled as he looked over at them. ”Come on, I’ll show you your room…”, he said as he picked up her bags again and walked her down the hall, passing another bed room with the door closed. He walked her into the room down the hall, it was empty, but there was a bed, an open closet, a dresser, and a desk. The bed had been made already, Lucas had taken care of that for her, even though he truly hoped Jasey wouldn’t be sleeping in it. He placed her bags to the side, ”This is your room… “, he said as he walked over to her and put his arm around her gently, ”I can’t believe you’re here”, he said excitedly. ”I hope you like it…”, he said looking over at her, lightly biting his lip. This room was usually used for guests whenever he and his mother had family come over, but now, it was all Jasey’s. jasey had never been more nervous in her life than when her brother was talking to her boyfriend. she knew that lucas had problems with confrontation which were actually quite similar to her own. the only big difference was that while she started bawling, and tears streamed down her face, he had an anxiety attack and ended up not being able to breathe. she wasn't sure if he had the right tools to prevent the situation or at least fix it if it got to that point, and she sure as hell didn't know where to find said tools. the small girl was just praying that he didn't get that nervous or scared, and that jeremy was easy on him while they were talking together. it was sweet how much lucas cared about her, but she knew her brother well enough to know that he didn't just trust her instinct or his own when it came to her and boys. he had managed to scare away every boy that had ever been interested in her, and sure, many of the times he did so, she wasn't necessarily interested in them, he and the rest of her brothers managed to scare the the living hell out of the other male. jasey could honestly say that she hated that about her brothers. sure, she didn't mind being protected when the time called for it, but when she was around lucas, it wasn't the right time. they had been together for some three months and already she was closer to him than she was with anyone outside of her family.
her relieved sigh came as her boyfriend walked back to her, a bright smile covering her face. she was so happy she could've screamed, and jumped, and partied. lucas had made it through whatever talk her brother had given him and while he looked a tad bit shaken, he also looked happy. jeremy was gone now, and jasey practically threw herself at lucas, wrapping her arms around his waist tightly. this was the real hug, the one where they were alone and didn't have to worry about anyone hopping out of a car to talk to one of them. it was a relief, actually. it'd been weeks since they just got to be together and spend one on one time together, not that they did anything inappropriate together. they'd never done anything more than kissing, which would have been a big surprise to some people that just saw them together on the streets. they were a quiet, sweet couple. jasey felt like she was going crazy without him next to her, and she was pretty sure that he felt similar to the way she did. jasey could honestly say that she loved this boy and hoped that they never had to split or be away from one another. it was times like these that she was glad she had switched bands in the middle of the tour. if she hadn't, she would still be stuck in vegas living with her mom or her brothers. that didn't seem like great fun to her, but being here in one of the most gorgeous states she had ever been to.. it was nice, and it seemed like a bit of an adventure.
the small brunette smiled up at lucas as he mentioned getting her inside. that sounded like one of the best ideas she had heard in a long time. "that w-would be great, lucas." she said softly, squeezing him just gently before letting go of him. jasey watched as he headed over to her bags, maybe it was just a guy thing, but she was sure she could've gotten her own bags, but hey.. if lucas was going to do it, she didn't need to, and that would be great. honestly, her bags were pretty heavy to her and she had had to have her brothers help her with them all the way to where you had to drop it off at the airport, and jeremy had to grab them from baggage claim at the airport in new york. her brothers took good care of her, she wasn't going to lie and say she didn't like it when they babied her, but sometimes it was just a little too much. they took it too far. jasey sighed to herself, watching lucas struggle to get her bags into his home, but instead of asking if he wanted help and possibly embarrassing him, she just let him do it and followed along closely. she smiled, remembering his dog that he had told her so much about. rex was apparently one of those overly hyper dogs, the kinds that she thought was just adorable. she smiled, looking down at the tiny barking dog as she shut the door behind her, careful not to let him out. "hey r-rex," she said with a small smile. when it came down to the facts, jasey loved animals and children. she'd love to have both, though children were more of a priority to her.
quietly, jasey crouched down, playing with the dogs fur and ears with a happy grin. she absolutely adored this small dog, rex, and she knew she would enjoy living with him along with lucas and his mother. after a few moments, jasey straightened herself back onto her feet, looking around the house. it was nice and cozy, just like hers back home. she actually lived with her brother most of the time, and he lived alone with his daughter now that she was gone, his wife having passed away after being hit by a drunk driver. she had walked into the living room, which was nice and clean with just the right amount of furniture. she ran her fingers over the top of the couch as she walked past it and came behind him. she was brought out of her thoughts as he said that rex liked her. that was something she enjoyed hearing. "i'm so g-glad to hear that!" she said with another bright smile. "he's a-adorable." her voice was at its normal pitch and volume. truth be told, jasey had never been a loud person, nor had she been too big on loud crowds except concerts, which she generally was backstage or on the side of the stage for. she just took pictures and listened to the music through her ear plugs. it wasn't bad or anything, she loved music, she just didn't like it blasting in her ears, nor did she enjoy being pushed around or getting her feet jumped on in the pit when she attended normal concerts that she wasn't the crew for. before she knew it, lucas was heading into a bedroom and she followed along behind him quietly, rex yipping and jumping in the main room.
the teenager looked around the bedroom. it was awfully empty, not that she really minded. she really only planned on using it for storage of her possessions. her clothes would go in the dresser, and the camera would go on the top of the dresser. her other small things would fit in the top drawer, considering she only needed three. it wouldn't be hard. she especially didn't think she would be needing the bed. jasey and lucas probably would've been okay with them just moving the dresser into his room or something because it was too weird for her to sleep in the same house as lucas, but not in the same bed. she didn't even like that idea. "i c-can't believe it either!" she was just as excited to be there as he was to have her there. jasey couldn't believe that they were actually living together. it was surreal. "i l-love it, lucas." she confirmed, hugging him for a second. "g-gosh, i m-missed you so much, l-lucas. it's not even f-funny." her voice was soft and she closed her eyes. she wanted another hug, just to make sure she wasn't dreaming. this meeting was frequently in her dreams when they were away from each other. quietly, she pushed herself up onto her tippy-toes, kissing his lips gently. she could definitely get used to this.
