It had been almost two months since tour had ended, and Eleanor was having a hard time getting back into the swing of ordinary life. It wasn't hard to tell how Eleanor had been doing. Her day usually consisted of the same things, over and over again. Get up, sit on the couch, try to write, fail at writing, give up, go back to sleep. Sometimes she would want to the beach, though she would only lay on the sand. She no longer surfed, which was something she missed a lot while on tour. More then once would she forget about the tide coming in, and find herself drenched by and incoming wave, but that was the only interaction she had the with ocean that she missed so much. Sure, she made plans with her friends, but she usually cancelled at the last minute. She just wasn't feeling motivated to do anything. Eleanor wasn't sure what had come over her. She had a sneaking suspicion that it had something to do with David, though she tried not to think about it. She wanted to put that whole thing behind her. Love felt funny, and she didn't like it, if you could even call what that was love. Still, she had lost her will to write or really do anything, and on top of all that, Jude had moved to Vegas. The apartment that the two had shared for three years was suddenly feeling very big and empty. Why didn't she just go with him? She didn't even know. Maybe it was just to prove to herself that it wasn't a stupid decision to stay here. She had chosen L.A over David. She thought that she had a valid reason to make that decision, and at the time she had. Though, that reason seemed to be disappearing with each day that passed. Her mother was crazy, she hated being near her. Jude was in Vegas now, so that pretty much pushed family out of the picture. She wouldn't have a job if she couldn't write, so that was her job too. As for friends, she was pretty sure if she stayed in her house any longer she probably wouldn't have any by the time she finally did come out. Her reasoning was seeming pretty stupid now. She should have just moved with Jude. She knew that if she just called up Jude and said 'Hey, I'm moving in with you' he probably wouldn't have a problem with it. The only question was, was it too late? Eleanor believed it was.
Eleanor had no intention of leaving LA, until Lucas suggested she fly out to New York to visit him. Eleanor hated flying. Her ears always popped, and she always got intense jetlag, but finally he had convinced her. She was actually pretty excited, for the first time in about a month. It took about three hours to fly to New York from LA, and soon she had arrived in New York. She was familiar with the airport. This was the airport she had flown into at the beginning of the tour. Eleanor collected her bag, then walked through the crowd towards the exit. She was feeling pretty nervous, sure she was about to see Lucas, of course she missed him like crazy, and she was excited to see him, but she couldn't help feeling lost in such a big crowd. She couldn't see Lucas anywhere, and she hoped that he would approach her. She bit her lip, looking around nervously.

The first few weeks of having not been on tour were a little tough for Lucas, sure, he was more than glad to be reunited with his mother, but there was still a piece of him missing. He had missed his girlfriend, he too had fallen in love during the tour, and had grown inseparable with the girl ever since. It was hard not seeing Jasey every day, he was so used to seeing her face and sleeping in the same bed with her. When he returned home, back in New York, he had to get used to sleeping alone and not having his girlfriend there to hold hands with whenever he pleased. Sure, they talked every night but that wasn’t enough, he needed to feel her warmth. Finally, he had spoken to his mom, easily convincing her to let Jasey move in. His mom knew Lucas was a sweetheart and expected that Jasey was too, it had been almost a week since Jasey had moved in, she was still getting settled in but so far, she seemed to have been enjoying herself. His mom liked her and the two love birds were enjoying their time together once again, she had still given him the massive amount of butterflies that fluttered every time she glanced his way. His first love wasn’t the only person he missed while being back home, he definitely missed his best friend on the tour, Eleanor. He had met her at the beginning of the tour and the two had clicked instantly, the two were close within weeks.
Lucas had truly missed her, he was used to seeing her every so often too. They always planned little days together, random lunches with one another, or the other would sit back stage and watch the other perform. He loved talking to her, she was one of the few people on tour that actually understood him and didn’t mind his shy ways. The two had instant messaged each other for the first time since the tour had ended, both must have been so caught up in settling in back home they hadn’t had time to check on each other. Plus, it didn’t help that Lucas was always on the phone or texting with Jasey. But now, Jasey was right with him, so he was more focused on the others he missed. Lucas had invited Eleanor to come visit him in New York, offering Jasey’s bedroom for her to stay in. Jasey didn’t sleep in there anyways, it was just where she kept most of her things, and she now was able to sleep with Lucas in his bedroom, which was what the two highly preferred.
Today was the day Eleanor was flying in, Lucas’ mom was at work, so Lucas would have to take a taxi there. The poor boy wasn’t a driver yet, so he was still hitching rides. Lucas was surprised that his mother had allowed not only one person, but two people reside in their house within the same week. He knew he was asking for a lot, but hey, they were sweet girls, right? After the farewell with Jasey, he had hopped into the back seat of a cab and headed to the airport. Jasey was going to visit her older brother, Jeremy, who didn’t live too far from them. Lucas already missed her, but he did want to have some sort of alone time with Eleanor, he truly did miss his best friend. The cab has arrived at the airport within minutes and it was about time for her flight to land, if it landed on time of course. Lucas told the cab to wait as he hopped out to go search for Eleanor, a few minutes later and he spotted the familiar face. His face lit up as his pace towards her increased in speed, ”Elly!”
, he smiled as he approached her. He was so excited to see her in person once again, ”How was your flight?”, he said he lightly pulled her into a hug, he knew how she was about hugs, so he didn’t want to overwhelm her. It had probably been a pretty long flight, so she had to be somewhat jetlagged. WORDS: 703 TAGGED: Eleanor NOTES: (: [/blockquote][/blockquote]
