ransom stared at the little stick in her hands. she had taken this stupid test numerous times, why couldn't she believe the little plus sign wasn't just a mistake? she'd been taking a pregnancy test every day for the past week, trying to eliminate the possibility. how the hell could she be pregnant? the tears were filling her eyes. had the protection broke or something? what exactly had happened? she didn't even know, the poor girl could've sworn her boyfriend had used a condom, she had seen him take it out of the package and put it on. she shook her head, there was so much confusion and so many thoughts going through her head right now she didn't even know what to do. she seriously had no clue as to how this had truly happened. what was zack going to say? how the hell was she going to tell him? just the thought of having to tell her boyfriend that she was pregnant made the hot salty tears pour out of her eyes, with a few sniffles.

how was she supposed to tell her mother? or her sister? or worst of all, her brother? she'd only had sex three times in her life. once with david, once with ethan, and once with zack. zack, who she planned on being with the rest of her whole life. she loved him, when she was with him, she felt like she was in some sort of heaven. he made her feel like she was on top of the world; like she couldn't be stopped. well, until something like this happened, at least. she wanted to run and hide and never ever have to worry about being found again. zack was going to hate her, she could feel it in her bones and in the pit of her stomach.. or maybe that was vomit. she wasn't sure, but it didn't feel great. didn't being pregnant give you morning sickness? it was only eleven, so it was technically still the morning. she had only just gotten up, and these sudden emotions. with that thought she rushed to the bathroom, hovering over the toilet.

one hand was on her stomach and the other held her hair back. the burning in her throat made her eyes water, but she could deal. after a few moments, she sat back onto her legs, gasping and sputtering as she reached her hand up to her bangs, brushing them back into the rest of her hair. fuck. her hand wiped the tears from her cheeks as she brought it back to her stomach, shutting the toilet lid and flushing it. she was going to get fat and he was going to dump her, she could feel it as she quietly pushed herself onto her feet. she looked down at her stomach, pulling her shirt up so the end was just above her ribs. the tears swelled up in her eyes again. what was she supposed to say to him? hey man, you're having a kid. that just didn't sound right to her, especially not when she repeated it in her head. she knew that if zack didn't want to be in this kids life, her mom would help her... or she hoped so at least.

she walked out to her bunk quietly, her hands were shaking. her hands stumbled over the keys on her phone. she couldn't put this off any longer, she had to tell him. her eyes skimmed over the words that she had typed, pressing send. zack, can you come over please? we really need to talk. the doors open. it was simple and to the point, just the way it needed to be as she made her way out to the couch, collapsing into the cushions. in her gut, she could feel a breakup coming soon, and with that small thought the tears flooded the whites of her eyes, blurring her vision as she laid her head on the seat of the couch closing her eyes. she had to get this over with, maybe it wouldn't hurt so bad if she just did it.

"Oh yeah... die! die! die! What the fuck are you doooooing?!" Angrily Zack told his player off, the video game had been going well until a missile came out of no where and took him down. He glared at the pixelated screen and waited for the screen to come up that said 'GAME OVER.' He rolled his eyes at the system and stuck his tongue out shortly after, his hour of playing was coming to an end anyways. There were several people on his bus that liked to play on the video game system so he often had to give it up after a certain amount of time. As he stood up he was shoved slightly out of Duncan's way, the next player of the xBox. Zack didn't really care when it happened, he was completely useed to Duncan pushing him around. He didn't think much of it now, whereas when tour was just starting he was extremely offended by it. Now though, he knew Duncan and how he was so it was just a normal occurence. Besides, tour was near over and he wouldn't have to deal with Duncan twenty four seven anymore. Sure he'd see him a lot at work and stuff but he wouldn't be living with him anymore and that much was enough. Don't get me wrong - Zack liked Duncan well enough, he was just a bit overwhelming for him, though. Duncan looked up at him and laughed a little, "You were getting pretty funn-ee with the game sigh-stem, you knows." His poor English made Zack giggle and nod before simply walking away from him and towards the bunk area. On his way to his bunk he heard his text tone for Ransom go off and he was instantly excited, his pace fastened by ninety percent. He plopped down on his bed and moved his sheets around until he found his Droid and read the message.

All of his excitement died as his eyes scanned over the small text on his screen. He could feel his heart breaking - she wanted to talk? No, Zack had never had a girlfriend before but he knew from the movies that 'talks' were never good. Never. He swallowed hard, already knowing what she wanted to talk to him about. At least, he thought he knew. She was going to break up with him and he knew it. His eyes began to blurr, which meant they were filling with water. He sniffled a little and wiped his eyes with his wrist, now looking down at his pink converse shoes. A tear or two rolled down his face before he hit reply, typed in 'kay' and sent it to her. He shoved his phone in his pocket and looked up to see his sister, who had been on her way somewhere but stopped when she saw his face. She sat next to him and talked to him about it for a few minutes, ending the conversation with a pat on his back and a few inspirational words. He nodded to her and wiped another tear away before standing up and leaving the bus, just replaying her advice in his head as he walked every inch to Ransom's bus. Just take it as it is, it might not be what you think.

As much as he tried to tell himself that, it just wasn't happening in his head. The tears formated again and by the time he showed up in front of the Children of Divorce bus he was continually sobbing, he could hardly breathe from the way he was crying. He got a few stares but he ignored them, dipping his head and wiping his eyes with his shirt, just standing there to calm himself down. He took a deep breath, raising his head and opening the door, looking around. It was obvious that he had been crying - hell, there were even a few tears still on his face, and she probably heard him outside the bus. "Okay Ransom... I've seen the movies... just dump me... I know you're going to." His voice cracked and once he caught her glance he looked away as fast as he could, he just couldn't look at her, knowing he was about to lose her.

ransom couldn't help but cry as she read the text message from him, telling herself that this was probably the last time she would ever hear or see him again.. what kind of guy wanted a kid anyways? she was pretty sure she already knew the answer. god, she didn't even know how to form words, she didn't know what she was going to tell him. everything she came up with in her head made no sense, or sounded horrible. the thought of the words that would come from his mouth made her stomach turn with fright and anxiety. she didn't want to lose the best thing that had ever happened to her. she couldn't handle it, after all they had been through to get to where they were. she could hear a familiar song play in her head, mumbling words as the song played itself in her head, tears flowing into the leather of the couch. he was going to leave her, she could tell. she had already figured out the whole conversation in her head. this wasn't going to end well for her, and she would have to tell kelly when they got home. whether it would be to keep kelly from killing him for leaving her or because she would be that terribly depressed.

quietly, the teenager sniffled. this was one of the scariest times of her whole life. she never thought she would have to break the fact that she was pregnant to her family and the father of said child when she was only barely eighteen. it didn't seem fair or logical to her, and it seemed more than frightening. the brunette sat up, wiping her face hard, trying to get the salty water to stop pouring down her cheeks. she hated crying so much, but lately, everything upset her and made her sad... or everything made her overly happy. she was going through so many rapid mood changes, she couldn't even tell what was real anymore. she had to sing, play her guitar, something.. something to take her mind off the task at hand until that task was standing right in front of her. her hands were shaking too much for her to play her guitar, so she would settle for singing. "it's a broken heart that scares me. you have nothing to fear, i'll stay with you my dear. it's a broken heart that scares me." as she finished that simple line she could hear the muffled sniffles and sobs of someone outside the bus, then the sound of the door knob turning.

she watched her blonde boyfriend make his way onto the bus, refusing to make eye contact with her. maybe she wouldn't have to tell him. maybe he was just going to break up with her now and she could just disappear out of his life forever. she examined his face, his perfect face... he'd been crying.. why had he been crying? she didn't quite understand. then the words left his mouth. they were simple words, but why he had said them.. she had no clue. she couldn't fathom a reason behind those words. the movies? what movies? did he really think she was going to break up with him? did he not realize if it wasn't for him she very well could've been dead? probably not, she wasn't even sure if he knew that before they had started dating she had been doing some hardcore self destruction. cutting and burning were the weapons of choice.. and if he didn't know about it.. she sure hoped that he didn't find out. she could feel her hands trembling as she looked at him. tears were flooding her eyes as she thought about it. did he really think she was going to break up with him? ransom stood up slowly and walked over to him, wrapping her arms around his waist, hugging him tightly.

"zack... i'm not.. i'm not breaking up with you.." she paused for a second, burying her face into his chest, hoping he didn't care about the tears that were staining his shirt. "you.. you love me, right?" she sniffled hard, closing her eyes tight. "even if i got.. fat and ugly.." if she bit her lip any harder she might have drawn blood. she was so afraid she was really going to lose him. honestly, ransom didn't want to raise a child all alone, but if he wanted nothing to do with it.. well, she wouldn't blame him.

Zack somewhat wished that Ransom would just say it already. They were over. Zack was too much of a little wussy for her and he was bad at giving her sex. She didn't want anything to do with him and will never love him. It was all what he thought right now, that is, until Ransom finally spoke and proved him otherwise. He blinked with an innocent and confused expression on his face and when he blinked more tears rolled down his cheek. He gulped a little bit and slowly put his arms around her, eventually making it a hug and squeezing her slighty. 'zack... i'm not.. i'm not breaking up with you..' he heard her say, making him swallow hard and start instantly hating himself for even thinking those things about her feelings for him. The rest of her words made him feel even worse - how could she feel like this, yet he totally mentally accused her of breaking up with him? "I'm sorry..." He mumbled lightly, not quite sure what he could say. Her tears were staining his shirt but he thought nothing of it. Leaning down slightly and kissing her head he rubbed her back, not sure what to respond to her with after he heard the rest of her speech. Of course he loved her, did she doubt that? And what was this fat and ugly stuff? Zack didn't like Ransom for her appearance. Well, he was hot for her and her body, sure, but what he truly loved about her was much more sentimental than her lovely, lovely curves.

He snuggled his head on the top of hers and rubbed her back soothingly, "Sssh..." He cooed, trying to get her to stop crying. The response soon same out after his attempts to sooth her, "Babe... of course I love you... and what are you even talking about?" He mumbled, dropping his arms from around her and cupping his hands on her arms, keeping one like that but cupping her face with his other hand. He looked into her eyes with sympathy and confusion, "I'd love you even then... I don't love you for your appearance. You know that." He paused, the air felt wrong. He needed to just ask it. "What's going on, then?"

ransom really didn't know how to tell him what she so desperately had to tell him. he had his arms around her which gave her some true hope that he wouldn't hate her. it wasn't much, but right now her emotions and hormones were raging, everything he said and did had a different impact on her than it ever had before. she had rehearsed what she was going to say so many times, but none of it sounded right. she had started thinking about it after the third pregnancy test, but it was all a jumbled mess in her mind, now. how could this be happening to them? did they really deserve this sort of stress? was this god telling them that they should have waited longer to have sex? and now they were being punished. a shudder ran down her side not only from the thought but because of zack's hands snaking away from her back and to her arm. she didn't want to tell him, every part of her was screaming to just tell him to never mind her, but she knew that wouldn't work. her whole body ached as his other hand moved to her face. she was so terribly horrified that this would turn out bad for her.

silently, ransom took the hand that was cupped against her face with her own tiny hand, staring at hers in his knowing that it might be one of the last times it ever did. "i...come sit down with me." she was just buying herself time, now. her voice was so tiny she was surprised that she could even force it past her chest. it was pretty obvious she was afraid of the events that would follow these small words. ransom's fingers wrapped around zack's, pulling him to the couch and practically shoving him down so he was sitting. the brunette sat down on top of him, her legs resting against his. "z-zack." her lips were deceiving her now. this had to have been the fear kicking in once more. "i.." her voice trailed off. she honestly had no clue as to how she was going to tell her boyfriend that he was going to be a daddy. that they, two children, were going to be having a kid. it just didn't seem right to her. "i have big news." was all she could murmur. she had to get one last kiss before she told him, just in case it was the last one from him she would ever get.

her lips grazed his for just a second as she entwined their fingers again. "zack.. what if i was, like..." she could get the last word out. ransom was on the verge of tears. this really wasn't fair. "p-pregnant?" the word felt like poison on her tongue. "if you were going to be.. a dad?" her biggest fear had to have been that he wouldn't want to be a father and instead of being in her life and the babies life he would leave her, and now she was going to have to face it.

From the beginning of his time, Zack had always been truly confused by women. He held Ransom with all the love he could put into the hug, he wanted nothing more but to be there for her, especially seeing how upset she was right now. Had David done something to her? Had he done something to her? Had anyone? Another thing that he was dying for was knowing what was going on in her head, a task he had always found difficult, even when they were just friends. Zack studied her every movement and was very cautious of what he said or did, watching her take his hand in hers. He bobbed his head up and down when she told him to come sit with her, following and sitting where he was directed to. He had trouble keeping his eyes locked into hers, it was one of his biggest attention problems, but he put his greatest efforts into it right now. You could tell that he was trying too, because normally he has a bit of a spaced out gaze in his eyes while you talk to him.

Before he knew it, she was sitting him down on the couch and just sat on him. Her fingers were intertwined with his and he began to realize what was going on - David had been telling him about these things. Lap dances. He was suddenly really nervous, but that stopped when she told him that she had 'big news.' David didn't mention news when he explained to Zack the deal of this... he raised an eyebrow at her and said, "Yeah?" Very quietly, his curiosity raising by the seconds that ticked by. He was surprised again when their lips were meeting - something wasn't right here, and Zack was also beginning to realize that he was probably not going to get a lap dance. Just something about the kiss told him something was wrong. With curious and concerned eyes he listened to her, his jaw dropping a little bit. He choked a little bit on his words, he didn't even get something off his tongue before everything went black.

"Woah...." About two minutes passed and he was suddenly in a different position, laid down on the couch. He looked around for Ransom and sat up, looking at her and pausing for a minute, remembering the conversation and motioning her to come sit on his lap. "I guess Imma be a daddy then.." He gave her a goofy little smile, "I... does this mean, after tour, we get to live together still?"
